are the fronts on these cars just bolt on, or do you have to do somehting special to fit a '01,2 on a '00 coug?

The rear will be a direct replacement.

The front attaches the same, but requires an 01/02 splash shield, and if you don't swap your headlights for 01/02 lights, you'll have a rather large gap underneath them. If you swap the headlights, you should also swap the grille.

The fog light connection is also slightly different and will need to be modified if you intend on using the fogs.

Good luck!

Actually, there really wasn't a gap when I put the front on my car. I'd say it also looks much better than the 99-00 bumpers.

Hmm...mine had quite a gap there...to the point where I really thought something was messed up. I hadn't realized how much bigger the 01 headlights were.

as far as the splashguard, are you talking about the main one right behind the bumper? or do i need the wheelwell splashguards from a '01 too?

I think just the one behind the bumper, the one parallel to the road.

I tried putting it together with my 99, and it blew off at highway speed...lol..
