I am looking to legitimately do some molding on my dashboard and make a fiberglass subwoofer enclosure and was wondering where to start? What supplies are needed and where should I get them. Also if you have any pointers on glassing, please post them. Thanks!

one of the places that i buy from online is Sarbco (http://www.sarbco.com) you can find local body supply houses in your area also.

I am fond of evercoat products so of course thats what i'm going to tell you to use.....others may have their preference too

for working on the dash i would recomend that you pick up some fiberglass resin, some fiberglass mat, and make sure you have some fiberglass cloth on hand too. it really aids in those contour areas, the cloth makes contours much easier than mat.

i also prefer to have a fiberglass based body fillger on hand, my fiberglass based filler of choice is evercoat kitty hair.
for lightweight body filler i prefer evercoat Rage Gold, this is one of the easiest sanding body fillers i have used.

i finish off with evercoat metal glaze pourable finishing putty.

if you need to fuse parts together before molding them dont forget the lord brand fusor 147 adhesive and gun.

any aircraft or marine/boat stores will have glassing supplies as will most good paint supply stores. I'd highly recommend the West System resin. it's the best. as far as fiberglass goes....your choice is just pretty much different styles of weave, its all fiberglass. And AwlGrip brand paint is quite durable and lays nice.
