do any other ford or mercury seats fit in a cougar? has anyone tried?

Do you mean bolt directly in with no other mods?
Im sure if you did some modifying and fabrication you could get just about any seat to fit.
Off the top of my head id think the contour mystique seats would fit good.
Also a focus or probe would probably fit good.
But I would think youll probably have to do some drilling.

yeah, I'd like to keep the work load down as much as possible. I just haven't tried to fit anything yet, and wanted to know if anyone else had done so and how much work was involved.

Probe seats WILL NOT work,way too wide. i had leather probe seats and tried this, they are about 3 in wider
