With the A3S05 due out soon, A3S04s are being closed out. The 225/45/17 are discounted roughly $100 a tire and 225/50/16 are also available. I've heard of premature wear on the outside edges on camber challenged cars (which I believe includes the Cougar), but I thought I'd share.
