Yup, the larger throttle body from the SVT contour is the only available throttle body compatable with our engines. There are a few people using the 65mm throttle body from the Mustang GT, but that takes some modification.

what kind of modifications does it take to use the 65mm throttle body from the mustang GT?

grind a notch in the throttle stop(body itself) switch the lever action 180 and the spring to match

the ruff part is trying to put the butterfly back in. notch the body like an L cut so the tab can swing all the way through.

just go with an SVT one and you'll be fine but put on a SVT UIM to.

Yeah because everyone is rich and can shell out $500 for an SVT UIM if they can even find one. Correct me if I'm wrong but, yours came with your car right?

I think there is a How-To on how to do this, it might be on the Contour.org Site. Maybe DemonSVT would know where it is.

$150 for a genuine SVT UIM is a steel. Nice find!

Thanks. I just got it in the mail yesterday and it looks clean too. I was hoping to get the throttle body but guess they wanted to keep that. :( The paint is not chipped or faded at all. That doesn't matter much though since i plan on doing a polish on it sometime.

You don't want to run a 65mm on a stock or even mildly modded 2.5L...

The 60mm SVT is all ya need...if you go for forced Induction, or up to a larger 3L...then maybe going larger will work.

I think he was intending to BURN topjoe for buying his car with a lot of mods done to it already. Did you get your UIM off of ebay?

Not trying to BURN anyone but I think when people buy a car with everything done to it already, they don't realize the amount of money it takes to modify. Telling someone to just swap on an SVT UIM when they change there TB is just retarded. The SVT UIM cost 4 times as much as the original mod.
