View Full Version : Question About Demon Eyes From Custom Cougars

Who has bought this kit from customcougars/umnitza recently. Because I just did and the rings I was sent out do not fit 01-02 headlights at all. I have emailed James and he told me that they are supposed to fit inside the projector housing hole....uhh no. I have also taked to someone at umnitza and he said the same, and that this "new" kit was far superior to the old kit....uh no. There are pictures below, and the ones from the umnitza how-to even show that the rings should fit along the outside wall of the hole. These must be for a 99-00 headlight because they fit perfect.

That sucks man! I'd say return them and get your money back. Pick up some 80 mm computer fan's with the ccfl tubes...

No one at cc answers the phone, and the response that James and the umnitza people give me is that "it is the right kit, BETTER than the first kit released."
I would have bought ccl's but I can't find them in white......cops around here wouldn't appreciate the blue (color I would have got) :shrug:

did you try sending james the pics? Maybe they meant the quality was better? It is possible you received the wrong year kit..

Yeap I sent James the pics, and his only response was that he contacted their supplier and that was how every kit is now, and works far better than the original. The people at umnitza, who I figure would know best, told me that haveing the rings on the actual projector, (the round thing) would not be a problem. Has anyone had a problem with heat around their rings? Umnitza said it would be just fine and not melt.

that could be what they meant by better..sounds like they may have made them better quality.

By putting them on the projector you don't harm the finish on the casing.

Send him the photos of what you recieved, on your headlights. And photos of what a set of 01-02 demon eyes look like. Tell him that if he doesn't send him the correct product OR refund you your money (none of this 15% restocking BS) you'll file a complaint with the BBB. If he still refuses, follow through with that.
