Im doing an engine swap and have been searching for how to get the lower control arm bolts out. I have the nuts off, but the bolt wont budge. I shot PB on it, but no luck. I was hoping somone could tell me the easiest way to get it out. I currently have the car raised and wheels off. Should I compress the spring, put the car down again, etc.? I would really like to get this engine out by tomarrow afternoon! If there are any helpful links on the site that I missed please let me know.
Also, Im not 100% sure on how to remove the halfshafts. I've read a bunch of topics related to this issue, but does the drivers side shaft disconnect from just behind the disc? Should I remove anything else besides the lower control arm bolts? Do I need to buy the half shaft disconect tool that the ford manual lists? Any other tricks to make it as painless as possible?
Sorry for the stupid q's but I didn't have much luck with the search tool. Any input would be great!!
