A nice custom look while still keeping the functionality of the trunk.

If the "X" appears it's cuz the DB is down ;)

my old setup... worked really well, had LOTS of trunk space.

if i were to go back now, i would have put the amps elsewhere, but for two subs, it was awesome :)

10" sub is on the left and the 2 PG amps are on the right. I needed as much boot space as poss (I have 2 very small children). I also wanted unhindered access to my spare wheel.

Shagmonkey, that setup is Perfect! That is exactly what I am looking for. Do you still have the blueprints or plans for it? That would be greatly appericiated if I could get those or any other information about your setup. Thanks

I don't have any plans I'm afraid as my local audio shop did all the work. I will gladly take the three sides out (They just slot together like a jigsaw puzzle) and take photos of whats behind. This might help????

Yeah, that would help alot! Thanks man. Well, Looks like I better get alot of lumber, cause I know I'll be screwing it up alot by wingin' it lol.

Shagmonkey, I love your setup too! Your making me want to redo my setup since I have zero space in my trunk. What does the cover over the rear Strut bar do? If you have the photos of whats behind them can you post them or send them to me to.

Thanks!

The cover over the rear strut brace doesn't do anything. Basically I told my audio shop NOT to cover the brace as I had just spent a fortune getting it colour coded. Anyhow, suffice to say they covered it. When i said to just remove it and fill around the sides, they told me they couldn't and that they would have to completley redo the install as it had been designed and built to all slot and fit together. They then started getting funny with me about whether or not I told them to leave it uncovered. End result was they cut a "window" in the panel to show the strut brace. I personaly don't like it and I have ideas to rectify the situation, but until then, it has to stay because it looks better with, than it does without and all the sides exposed.

PM me your email and I will send over some pics I have. They are quite large though. about 5 megs in total. Let me know if you want me to reduce them further.

First off Shagmonkey thanks for the pics you emailed me. And second, cwtIII your setup rocks aswell and it would fit my needs perfectly. Would you happen to have any plans for your setup?? Thanks.

This was what I had. I just recently sold it to another member on the boards. The brown spots in the amp rack was covered in mirror, then the amp was removed and I installed a 1250 mono block amp. Also the I had two spots on the sides to store stuff like oil, emergency roadside kit, or anything I wanted too.

mine was all made myself and was probably done better and exactly how I wanted it to be rather than compromise by a shop telling me what can and cant be done.

I made mine from an old wine rack. Took me about 2 hours

mine houses a 15 that takes the place of the spare while covering half the air tank and is raised out of the floor about 3inches with the false floor i built. sounds confusing but i'll post a pic next week, and you'll be even more confused. it'll be great i promise.

I designed my setup myself (drew up some sketches with the dimensions and overall "look" that I wanted) and had a friend build the enclosures for me (who happens to be the installation manager at a stereo shop).

The work involved (including materials) cost about a grand...not including the components.

I don't have any plans for what I've got though...sorry.

I spent about $100 in materials for mine plus a 30 pk. of Bud Light. I drew up the design, dimensions, and what not, then him and I went to town. It took about 6 straight days to do but we only worked on it for about 5 hours a day. The 30 Pk was a payment to him for his help and tools.
