Well I hate to do it but the time has come. April 1st the Cougar will be listed in AutoTrader. With 2 small kids the Cougar is no longer practical for me. If anyone knows of someone looking to by a Cougar let me know. I've listed it for $3900 but no reasonable offer will be refused.

Here are the specs:

1999 Cougar
125,000 miles
alternator\battery replaced last summer
rotors\pads replaced last summer
tires replaced last summer
SVT lower intake, dual honed upper intake and SVT throttle body
Roush springs and ST200 struts
ST200 rear strut brace
Rebuilt trans by Exigent

The car runs good. The front clip could use some work though. There are a lot of stone chips on it. Other than that it is in pretty good shape for being an early 99 that sees the streets of Detroit every day. Attached is a picture.

Let me know what you think about the price. I don't want to overprice it yet I don't want to give it away either.

I'll still be hanging around and hope to get to some meets this summer.

Dave

price is high but would sell because of parts..... part out the svt parts for $$$ and sell the car stock those svt parts like the strut brace and roush springs with st200 stuts would go for quite a bit... get your money out of those and sell the car for blue book...

Price is right. My 99 with 96000 miles is bb @ 4400$. I agree, part out the svt stuff and the st-200 so you can make a quick $500+ (if you still have stock parts around). One of the originals is gone

ok, sorry your right... price is low.... still think you should part out the easily removeable parts and if they dont sell in a month sell the whole car and if it doesnt sell in a month or two, put it on ebay with a reserve of your selling price and buy it now price of this blue book private party value

Even though the Cougar will be gone I'll still be hanging around at meets. My wife will get the new car and I'll have the Focus that will need some modding done to it.

I haven't decided if I want to part out anything yet. I might wait to see what kind of offers I get for the car as is.

It's tough but the room just isn't there. You know how it is with kids. I'll still be hanging around.

It's an auto. But that can always be corrected. Just as Exigent.

Hey I like that, F.N.E.C.O.
I'm saving up for a new car for the wife and I'll have the Focus to start modding. The Focus has a 5 speed and being stock it's actually quicker at Milan than the Cougar was modded. No more auto
