Next meet ideas

Well, I guess we will try this again. Lets have a meet! Here are some possible ideas I've thought of:

Track meet at Firebird
Track meet at Speedworld
Track meet at SIR near Tucson
Fun meet at F1 Race Factory (go-karts)
Fun meet at Speedway (go-karts)
Fun meet at Speed Street (new go-kart track opening soon at 67th Ave. & Bell Rd.)
Mod meet at someone's house
Food meet at Hooter's or Applebee's or something
Dyno meet at AZ Dyno Chip to get everyone's cars tuned and dynoed

What do you guys think?

I know Byrd, you are getting your headers soon (at least thats what they told you), and Jason is getting his hatch fixed (and I'm guessing something else, based on the whole "Project Desert Cat" thing.) I'm sure you guys are most interested in some type of track meet.

How far ahead are we looking? April? May?

There is a big race event kinda thing happening out at Speedworld on May 19th or something. Hopefully I will have a car by then, and I'll be able to give my car its first run.

Any other opinions?

It would be nice to have a meet soon. But I don't think I will be able to get to one until mid May. I have to work 6 days aweek for the next month and a half due to training exercises. Byrd will see what Im talking about when he comes to visit tomorrow. But to answer your question....Im down with whatever.

Wasn't able to visit jason on Sunday but hopefully I can get up there sometime during the week. I really want that box. As for a meet I am up for whenever. My headers still haven't shipped out. I'm pretty p off.

OMG!!! I cant believe your headers still havent shipped off yet. Did you call them?

I called Weapon R today and they said that they were being packaged and shipped out so hopefully I will get it by the end of the week.

Good to hear about your headers. But still any ideas about a meet?

I think it should be a race meet. We had to cancel our last one and we all know what happened to us during the NOPI meet.

Its been that long really.....August??? Well looks like its time for another track meet.

I better get my headers in soon before I blow up on somebody! They have again told me that the sh!t has not been shipped out yet. It should get here soon though.

Ok so this is what Ive been thinking..... Im thinking of a date between the 29 april - may whatever. WTI (training Im going through) will end on the 28th or so. If it is anything other then that, I will try to make it but I cant make any promises.

I just looked up the Firebird calendar and noticed only friday nights are available in May. I suggest that we make May 6th (Fri) the day we meet up. We will meet at my place for pictures and what not because I live only 5 miles from FIR. Try to get that day off from work and lets all try to make it.:thumbsup:

Sounds good to me, I should have that 240sx in running shape by then, and I'll wanna test it out.

And no issues with "getting the day off" for me, since I get off work at 2pm, so 5pm wouldn't be any trouble.

I'm going to go change the website right now to reflect this schedule.

All I will have to do is tell them I want to be off that night and Im sure someone will cover me. My car <u>SHOULD</u> be done by then. (atleast 80%-90%)
