Yeah Andy here... up near Cleveland and wondering who else from Ohio is going. I thiink the best place to meet up at would be Dayton at Wright-Patterson AFB. Not sure what i'm bringing yet, because if Hot Rod Power Tour is on the same week I won't be able to make it. The Coogah's my daily driver. The Fairlane comes first.

i relocated this thread here, as we don't need 48 threads asking who is going to Fest from each of the contiguous states.

Last year the Cleveland/Akron people met in Mansfield, then stopped in Columbus. There was a huge meet point in Columbus where the New England, New York, DC, and Pennsylvania caravans all merged with the Ohio group. We stopped in Dayton briefly, then straight on through to Indy.

You shoulda seen it.

Welcome - I had no clue what that topic was about so thanks Ignernt. Cougarfest? Well pretty much just stay tuned, weve done this many times before and will take good care of you and keep you informed on the details. I think the trip is pretty much gonna be same as last year so looking at a Columbus meet point. Indy isnt very far so no need for tons of stops.

Oh yeah- welcome aboard. We've got a pretty hefty number of members here in the Cleveland area. Ill post the next time a few of us get together if you wanna meet up. Not ussually a cougar thing- more like food, drinks, etc.

Pfft... I bet I'm right behind you, if not even further in the hole. That's what happens to people who drive Cougars. It's a tremendous love/hate relationship.

I just discovered I'm losing a wheel bearing today. In addition to having bad tie rod ends. And bad tires. And a constant CEL. And worn struts. And maybe a sloppy axel. And a leaky ghetto exhaust.

But I go full-throttle into a looping freeway on-ramp, and I forget all about all that.

Because of my car I wont be able to pay for my 2 semesters of summer classes (5wk and 8wk courses), so my end result is to work OT to make up for lost profit.
The UofA has gone up again. :banghead: (I just worked a 60hr week in 4 days to make some extra cash to fix the car but im still no where close cause i have bills out the
arse)

I know suck it up.

if i dump my car im going for the Colbalt SS, doing little work that wont void the 3 year warrentee, like a smaller pully, CAI plugs and wires, but most will get removed when taking to dealer ship, pully wont be noticeable if its the same color lol

when the time comes, I bid you welcome to the GMSCO (GM Small Cars of Ohio or GMSCO.org ) the SS has good potential, limited by the small supercharger, but still makes for a VERY quick car (just saying it could be so much faster with a larger S/C)

We just had a huge fight on the Sauturn forum with this kid who was buying a Cobalt SS. I maintain that the Cobalt SS is going to be the new redneck sport compact, and if you want one, go unique and get a Saturn ION Red Line. Same car, only it's on the quad coupe platform and has plastic fenders and doors. Way cooler, and no different in the powertrain department.

But really, all of those mullet-wearing weirdos who would have bought a Cavalier or a V6 Camaro will be getting the Cobalt SS instead.

I havent heard good things about the Colbalt SS. *cough*

If cougar goes in going back to 4 doors for two reasons. One of which I wont mention here.
But the other is insurance is waaaay cheaper.
