THE SPECIES SHOULD BE IRRADICATED!!!!!

While traveling down Seaboard Road (A dark country road in Pungo) In Va Beach...3 Deer ran across the road...I hit the third..Luckily I was almost at a complete stop after jamming on the brakes and only suffered a demolished right headlight..The deer was badly injured and I assume animal control will put it down.....anyone got a spare 01-02 right headlight assembly lying around?

I may have to put just whatever I can find on for awhile. The ones I've found so far have been well over 100 each....seems unreasonable to me.

sounds about right actually. unreasonable, yes. the stealership always gouges you for the prices.

a really good thing would be to hit car-part.com and check to see if any local junkyards may have them. you can probably get them for a rather cheap price. cheaper than the dealership that is.

There's one on ebay right now going for over $100, but I'm not sure which side of the car it's for.

I didn't even know that there were deer in VA Beach.

Looks like I'll be drivin around with a busted up RH light....Prices are way too high for those cheap peices of plastic. I should have never bought a newer car and stuck with old ones.

Hey sorry to hear about the deer. I'm trying to shoot as many as I can. But Va is stupid they don't let me use my riffle, only shotgun. Just keep checking the forums I got a set for 275 after I wrecked my car.

Well I've found a few sets to choose from that I can afford....is a 99-00 headlight a direct bolt in? Or is there any differences besides the way they look on the exterior?

it should work fine.

eh, i know you have to make some minor modifications to fit 01-02 lights on a 99 so probably the same vice versa...dont think i've ever seen anyone go from new to old though... but if you're in dire need i guess i understand

Kinda like the look of the 99-00 lights...I guess that makes me strange since everyone seems to want to change to the newer ones..but on a black car like mine..all the chrome in em makes em stand out too much. And when they came out the 99-00 lights were quite unique compared to other cars manufactured at the time.

there were fitment issues getting the 01-02s to fit the 99 b/c of the light the newer ones being bigger than the older ones. since you are installing smaller lights into the larger holes, it shouldn't be too much of an issue.
