View Full Version : Problems installing MOMO pedals

Okay, so I got the MOMO pedals awhile ago and tried to install them this weekend. First of all, the brake pedal cover comes off very nicely....no such luck on the gas pedal. Thoughts?

Second, when I was trying to drill the holes for the brake pedal, I couldn't drill through the stupid metal. Awkward angle, yes, but I even used a center punch to no avail. Any thoughts? I hate to use liquid wrench for fear of getting it on the carpet.

I have the C2 sport package with the aluminum looking pedals.

hahahha are you sitting down? i hope so... because i've been through the same thing, and what i'm about to say wont be pleasent.

- you'll have to get a drill with a metal bit, and drill on that metal for a gooooood 5 minutes.... eventually it will go through.
I had to get my MOM to sit in the drivers seat and hold the pedal stationary, while i used the drill... it was not pleasent, and the further to the right, the less room you have.

i did the clutch and break last year.... and then quit.... this summer i will tackle the gas pedal

but yeah... just patience... you'll get through it in an afternoon :)

Well, that's better than I expected. How do you plan to take the cover off of the gas pedal??

the gas pedal is not a cover.. its a complete unit.. your best bet is swappin pedals with a person who has the 99/00 pedals first and then installing the new covers on those because their pedal is just all plastic....

otherwise.. sell the set to me mang... I'm one of the largest MOMO *****'s around

Here's a close-up of what the gas pedal looks like out of the car, in case you haven't decided to go claustrophobic and contort yourself down there to see it properly...lol
