Ouch!

Somebody was kind enough to hit my car while it was parked in a parking lot and then left ASAP. When I got home I used a plunger to get the middle part of the dent out but the bottom and top of the major dent are still there. The pictures dont do the damage justice - the dent is VERY noticeable in certain lighting conditions. Anyways, I brought it to some body shops and was told that it would cost around $500 to fix!!! I can't have my insurance cover it because my deductible is $500!!! Does anybody have any suggestions?

P.S. when I was installing my new speakers and dynamat, I was able to take off the interior rear panels to try to get at the dents from inside the car. I simply couldn't get any leverage back there to push the dents out.

Did you get a police report right on scene before you left? Since you were not driving the vehicle, it is not covered under Collision, but Comprehensive instead. (Generally a lower deductable.) Always, and I mean always, call the police, especially after being hit and the other person leaving the scene.

I didn't notice the dent until I got home (it was dark out).
