Latest Accomplishment for CougarFest

I just painted and installed these myself on last Saturday. I know it's not professional, but I don't have the money for that right now. So what do you think? Eventually I'll have full decals to tie it all in, and I'm thinking about painting the inside of my headlight the same color.

you painted the skirts yourself eh? looks good from the pics, i don't like the tail light covers though, the non matching color doesn't work just quite, match those up to your paint or maybe it would look hawt if you match it to your side skirts

LOVE it. Those colors go really well together. And yeah you kind of need to actually paint the covers. What if you had silver covers? Would that look stupid?

Actually if done right, I think that would look really nice and tie it all together.

Thanks for the idea guys, maybe I will paint them the same color. If all else fails and it looks funny I'll just finaly paint them the matching black. Too bad I don't have photoshop to see what it might look like.

i also did a few other subtle mods, like removing the rear "cougar" and "v6" lettering, clear sidemarkers, and a shorty antenna.

I'm liking it. I think it would look great just the way it is, just get the tail light covers to match up and it would look really cool.

The tail light covers have GOTS to be black.

I used Duplicolor products: fast drying sandable primer, Truck Van and SUV paint, and clearcoat Laqcuer to protect it. It was the nicest inexpensive way I could find to do it. I'm thinking I like the tailights too, thanks JAMallott.

Sorry, my post wasn't as clear as I thought it was at the time...match the tails to the BLACK on your car IMO.:biggrin: Oh, and disregard the attachment...I can't upload it on the thread I want so I am getting it on the server here...

Aaron you'll always be way more than a photoshopper to me ;) I personally like the contrast. Unfortunatley if you paint them black, you'll have to get Ford paint. I don't think Duplicolor matches that color :(

i think the silver looks good but matched black i think would look better. and how dare you sneak i picture of my truck in with your car. joking. i don't care just glad it was clean.
