does anyone else have a system and have issues with the lights flashing with the music?
or, did anyone?

if so...how did you correct it?
I just bought a capacitor and it seems to be working fine (making the subs hit harder) but it did not help the flickering of the lights... I already blew out one halogen headlight due to this... i cant afford buying new ones every month :(

help :(

you can get a bigger Alt or doing the big 3 upgrade???
But some PPL says that a cap doesn't help but everyone has there opinion....
I got in on the GB to get a bigger Alt too see if that helps or not???
My system hits hard and will find out if any of this helps or not
You might want to try what I mentioned

what's a big 3 upgrade? do you mean a 3.0L engine? That's not gonna increase the capacity of the car's electrical system.
A bigger alt should help. An extra (yes extra, as in second) battery should help. Maybe a bigger capacity cap...
Anyways.. If you dont want to invest in a high output alternator, 2nd battery, or bigger cap, about the only thing you can do is turn your system down a bit...
Your ears will thank you when you can still hear stuff when you're 60. :)

hold on guys... why dont you start with the basics.

are you still running the original battery. it might be as simple as replacing the battery.
or its also possible your alternator is dying [my headlights would dim depending on how much throttle I was using before my alt failed].

the stock alternator pushes ALOT more amps than 99% of neco members need [madgeo may be one of the exceptions], but since our alts are very problematic to begin with, it might not be a bad idea to get in on that group buy.

check out the how to on fixing the flickering light problem. i guess there is a wiring fault with the cougars where the alt is reading system voltage at the wrong place and not getting the correct reading. basically you cut one wire off the connector to the alt and connect it directly to the output of the alt.
