What do I think? Honestly?

I think that if there were high quality 7.2" LCD screens available for our cars at $100 a pop, everyone would be sporting them.

Not to burst your bubble, but here's what jumps out at me. There are almost no tech specs in the listing. NO TECH SPECS!!! I research everything I buy for my car, check all specifications, check with labs (like cNet and Consumer Reports) and then make a good, informed decision. Plus there's a whole bunch of "bigger than your screen" text. That's a no-no in my book; it's just unprofessional. They mention "Sharp" as a brand name in this and other listings, but the products don't have any manufacturer marking of any kind. How are you supposed to research the product when you don't really even know what it is? Not to mention that Sharp isn't the highest quality to begin with. Most of the TFT/LCD screens you seen in displays and show cars are top-of-the-line, spared-no-expense models that cost more than the average person can afford to spend on ICE. Or the car is sponsored, in which case the merchandise was probably provided at reduced cost or no expense to showcase said merchandise.

In the end, just remember this - you get what you pay for. I'd be wary...

I looked at the auction... I think it's worth a try if you have the money.. screen quality has gotten alot better in the past year or so.. I'm not sure why the comment about SHARP LCD screens was said.. I personally have seen SHARP monitors that have taken my breath away.. Sometimes Brand names don't make a difference.. some of the top sellers are Legacy and Farenheit and many many members have them here.. I don't own either brands myself but alot of people are more than happy with them.. The screen shots look like the resolution is decent.. not to mention that they are widescreen monitors.. the most important thing I do with anything on Ebay is look at the sellers feedback.. it appears that most of the customers are completely satisified with their purchases, including the same item as your looking at.

If visorscreens were my thing I'd buy em... 150.00 a piece is a decent deal... spending 500+ on what you need would be just wasted income and thats my personal opinion.

personally, I avoid sellers that have problems using the capslock and use a 72pt font.

They definitely look impressive. I would be alittle caution on how well they fit into the car [do they fit the headliner molding, how thick are they].

I'd wager that the quality of the screens are pretty good.

and to respond to the comment that theres no way a decent 7.2" screen can be had for a 100 bucks. Your just use to paying the insane markups for automotive products. granted my screens arent nearly as nice [and only 5"] but they only cost me 15 bucks [I attempted this due to cheapness.. and for no other reason]

I have an in dash DVD player and also have visors in my monitors. However I did not buy the visors with the tv's in them. I took the actual cougar visors and mounted the tvs into them. The reason being is because if you've notice our headliner isn't exactly flat, so going with something like this there is a danger in them not looking right. With using our factory visors, when they are folded up you can't even tell that anything is there. You can do what you would like, but in all honesty I kind of regret putting all the money I did into building that video system, because even though everyone thinks it is cool and stuff that I have it, I probably only use it maybe once a month or so. Just giving you my .02 As for quality of the screens, they probably aren't that bad. Just as Crispy said the quality of screens has come a long long long way in just the last couple of years.

Yea i modded my visors too. I am almost done (waiting on replacement becasue i screwed up fabric)

My screen is VGA and it will connect to my computer system so that the passenger can watch divx movies or play video games while my main screen (7" VGA touchscreen) that is molded in my dash i can use for music control and GPS

BTW $280 each for the screens

i got some cheap ($100/piece) 7" screens off ebay awhile back... they work if your just going for the fact that you HAVE screens in your car, but otherwise, THEY SUCK! put em side-by-side with my $200 17" monitor and the screens look like fuzzy photos. i'll probably still put my screens in, but next time i decide to do something like that, im goin the right way and spending a little more to get something that i can actually see.

don't compare a computer monitor to tv screen.... that is a really unfair comparision.
