Alright, quick question, how much negative effect will it have on my sub's preformance if the box is bigger than the reccomended size???

i think it depends on how much bigger. i dont think it will have that big of an effect but the bass might sound different.

first of all it depends on the type of the box....if it is ported or sealed...if it is ported it will more then likey not adversely affect the sound..might make it a bit louder..and could resond to lower frequencies better if te porting is done right. if the box is sealed, you should make up the space inside the box with 2x4's or something, to get it down to specs.if the box is to small completely stuff it with poly fill and you should be fine...
