Can anyone describe to me or show pictures of the hose routing of an SVT oil cooler? I bought the OEM SVT oil cooler from fpo.com and the SVT radiator, but do I need any additional hoses to supply the coolant? Does the cooler get the coolant from a connection on the radiator or does it "T" into an existing coolant line?
Thanks,
Nick
Which one did you get:

or

???
If the latter, you need the hose assembly 6K743 to connect where the water pump hoses exit. Honestly, I have never seen the first oil cooler style, even on SVT Contours I've worked on ('98 and '00).

I have'nt gotten it yet, the part number is F6RZ-6A642-AF, I'm assuming it's the newer one:

So I need that hose assembly? Do you know the part number?
Thanks,
Nick

I meant the full engineering part number. So I can go to my local Ford dealer and order it. But I guess I can just describe the part to them.
Thanks,
Nick
Bill Jenkins sent me that schematic, would assume it's an F8RZ number... Double check with him if you want verification.

I ordered the oil cooler from Signature Lincoln Merc and they gave me this part number: F6RZ-6A642-AF
AND this pic

I haven't seen it yet, but this is what they said I was getting. Basically all I am getting is the Cooler, so am I gonna need those tubes, clamps and part# 6L626, 6L621 & 18A568? Where do these tubes connect to the cooling system? Also what's 9278?
Thanks,
Nick
9278 is the oil pressure sender.
The 6K743 is the entire assembly, and comes with all the hoses and clamps necessary to splice the cooler into the water pump lines that link with the heater core. It was a clamp-n-go thing:

I also put a piece of insulation over the frontmost hose, 'cause it came darn close to the header:

Wow, great picture, that really explains it. I still don't see a difference between the two oil cooler pictures you showed me first. The second one looks like the first, with the inlet/outlet tubes turned to face an angle to othe top right and that treaded tube assembled inside the cooler. The guy at Ford to me there was only one oil cooler offered for the CSVT, so I'm sure the one I'm getting will look like yours. So I'll just buy that hose assembly.
Thanks,
Nick
