whats fun to do in bangor, me

hey whatsup flneco member here, comin to visit yall up there in march and was wonderin whats fun to do in bangor. wont have the cougar seein as how that is a long drive, but ya just wonderin what yall do for fun up in maine. i'll be checking out univ of maine in orono so it wont be far for me to drive, let me know okay thanks

orono is a good school. and it depends how much time you have and how far you feel like driving. if you have the time I would sugest driving down to mount desert island (MDI) its absolutly amazing. also there is alot of good places to eat in bangor...and if I remember corectly wed night at the howard johonson is ladys night at the bar lol!

Well if your coming up from Fl it will be very different from what your used to, COLD! I lived a hour from Bangor for 3 years, I went there alot since it's the biggest city within a 3 hour radius. There is alot to do in Bangor if you look hard enough, there alot of good restaurants and bars. About a hour south there is Acadia National Park, its great if you like outdoor stuff. lol... fun in ME at this time of year? its hard to find anything fun during the summer!

If you ski/snowboard... Sugarloaf is near.... it was 40 minutes from pittsfield where my grandfather used to live....

sugarloaf is about an 1 1/2 hours away...there is a small mountain with about 20 trails or so that is 15 minutes away. there is a decent mall there, movie theaters 2 in bangor 1 in orono. there is quit a few nice golf courses around if you golf. i go there once every week or two normally.

also you could climb Mt. Katahdin which is just over an hour away. Ive dont that and its fun

that and there is a realy good restruant at a truck stop its called disarts or somthing like that lol
