Ok, I have a 2.5L engine collecting dust. The heads were ported (by me), new head/main bolts, head gaskets, etc. I have the camshafts, and roller followers but thats about it. No timing cover/components, oil pan, no oil pickup tube, you get the picture. The only thing I do have as a spare is a PS pump, I think. This is CougarGT's origional 2.5L motor. I have forgotten how many miles were on it before it was pulled. I really need to clear some space and get rid of the motor. I figured I'd post this here, as IL does not have many mechanically inclined members.
Anyone interested for $75? Trades are also consitered.
Oh, and if anyone has a set of 17 lb/hr returnless injectors sitting in a box, I need to try an experiment. If you could contact me, It would be much appreciated.

hey what are you implying?? Honestly, I'd be very temped [because I am making a serious attempt to become more inclined]. But I would gladly conceed if anyone has a legitimate need for it.

Sorry Terry, I still think of you as a WI person, hehe.
The crank no longer has the pilot bushing for the ATX, but a crankshaft out of an ATX could be swapped in without taking the heads back off. I cant remember if your car is an Auto or a standard at the moment.

its auto... eventually I hope to change that
well people have put an SVT engine (mtx only) onto their auto trannys.. so is that bushing really necesarry on an auto?
sell me the hydraulic lash adjusters!

I might possibly have an extra set or 2 of the lash adj. I have to find/dig through a few boxes of parts, but I will check.
sweet. one of my hla's (unknown mileage from a 98 csvt) is going bad and causing a roller finger follower to tap on the cam lobe. annoying as all hell. lemme know

yeah for being a mechanically inclined Hoosier. Just curious is it possible to get the heads off without pulling the motor?
yes, yes it is.
may not be the easiest thing in the world, but definitely possible
