For the longest time my check engine light has been on, I have been getting poor gas mileage, and sometimes sputters. The computer pointed to my intake, but everyone else says it's my O2 sensor. I have no idea why it would be my intake, but the computer wouldn't point to it for nothing I guess. I know nothing of my O2 sensor. Would it be quick, easy, and cheap to buy and install another one?

look that the sensor on the intake make sure it did not fall out and it looks like the wires are good.

If your getting a CEL and your car sputters it can very well be your intake. Do you have an aftermarket intake? Check every inch of your intake to see if there are any places that unfiltered air can enter. One time one of my couplers came loose on my intake and I sucked in unfiltered air and my car stalled.

do you have a V6 or I4? I am familiar with the I4 engine and know FOR A FACT that if there is no lead from your intake to your valve cover cooling port (or if the current line is disconnected), then all sorts of things can go wrong. I had trouble with my intake for a while... my car was stalling at idle and while de-revving, getting poor mileage, and revving roughly. I couldn't figure out the problem until I realized that the silicon hose that connected the intake to the valve cover was not fully secure. Once I reconnected the hose, then clamped it tight, all the problems went away. I'm not sure if the V6 has a similar system, but if it does then that most certainly should be something worth checking out... hope this helps.

I have a V6. Everything is tight i think. It's not sputtering or idle weird but my CEL is still on and gettin poor gas mileage.

Ok Tim, try this..... Unhook your negative battery terminal for about 5 minutes, then hook it back up and restart your car. Let us know if the CEL light comes back on

Nope. The CEL is still on. I give up.
