Friend and his honda CRV

One of my friends has a 2000 automatic honda crv, he tells me that he wants to run and that he will rape me. His suv is stock but he says its quick and im atx v6 stock and i wanted to know if i should race him or to just stop defendin myself and forget bout it. If so, any tips on startin off quick would b appreciated.

First off. Is his CRV AWD? or FWD?

Lemme tell ya those things are real pavement burners with there 146hp and 3200lbs curb weight.


You should win no problem. Just make sure your secondaries are working, and be sure to make him pay for your gas.

Oh yeah.... and hold the brake down while you step on the gas...known as power braking ...it should launch your atx pretty nicely.

Basically you hold the gas and brake at the same time...and the car will try to go. You should find the threshold where the brakes can barely hold the car in place.....when the light goes green let go of the Brake. Easy.

(be warned may cause additional wear on your tranny...so don't do it all the time. but everyonce in a while is ok)

I raced an oldsmobile bravada suv which has like 200 or 210hp i cant remember. His was awd, when we launched we were completely even through my first gear then i started pulling ahead. So if you launch good, awd isnt so great.

as long as you have a mod or two and a good clean fuel system you should pull away with the win. WIth just exhaust and a bad fuel pump I lost to a AWD CRV by a nose.

Ok ill put it this way my parents made me drive the 97 honda cry front wheel manual trans when i got into trouble with the black and whites.... it was torture the only thing those are good for is a snowmobile. i dont know if theres any spunk in the knewer ones but you should be able to cream him no problem
