Alright, so im driving through the town, and i notice a black sti, looked freaken sick...so i decided to follow him as he got on the on ramp to the highway. As we entered he took off, as did i staying in 4th gear till redlining (probily not smart, but wort it), so im actually keeping up with this thing all the way up to 115ish and then he took off, but later that night i met up with him again, and ontinued racing on hte hgihway, swerving in and through traffic (on complete ice i may add), yeah so anyways so worth it, just sucks being17 with a speeding ticket knowing if i get pulled over, im al done..but what teh hell,y ou only live once.

Dude, 115 in traffic, and on ice? Was your lightbulb just burned out? Or do you even have one? (Im guessing the latter)
My rules to street racing: (IMO, the only way to do it.)
Never do it around traffic
Never do it in incliment weather (last time I checked, ice doesnt produce the best traction/stopping power)
Never exceed 80 mph on surface streets, 100 on highways
Looks like you broke every single one of those.
And you took the car PAST redline? Dude, its not a Honda. You CAN blow these engines up.
I usually defend people about racing on here, but I cant do that here. You have to be one of the dumbest, irresponsible people I have seen on here in a LONG time. Not only did you risk your own life, but innocent others as well. And you just say "Oh well, you only live once"? Please, someone remove the steering wheel from his hands before he kills someone.
Not only that, but you have already gotten one ticket. And you just say "Oh well" about getting another one? Does your mommy and daddy pay your insurance for you? Learn from experience. Anything stupid you do will come back to haunt you when you try doing things on your own. You may not care about insurance now, but give it 2 or 3 years. You will have to get your own car insurance, and you will have to pay out the ass because you felt like messing with a car that would rape you anyways?
You wanna get some cheap thrills? Do what I do, and go to a local go-kart track (not the disneyland ones either. The fast ones.). You can race as hard as you want, get a rush, and do it somewhere where no one will (should, anyway) get hurt. If you wanna race the car, go to an Autocross event. Join the SCCA. Hit your local dragstrip. Play some god damn Playstation. But please, dont do stuff that stupid again. I dont wanna hear about you on TV for killing a family on their way to McDonalds.

last i checked honda engines weren't invincible. lol
for some reason i have a feeling if the roads were complete ice doin 115 both cars would be wrecked. and don't even say in any part of your story you were actually keeping up with him, that just means he wasn't pressing the gas.

Good job keeping up with him... we were all young once and I would be a hypocrite if I told you not to do it.
Just be smart about things next time, you don't want your parents to have to identify you at the morgue cause you hit a sheet of ice at 115MPH causing a huge wreck.

oh god, dont encourage him. lol
I normally defend people driving wreckless on here when others bash them, however you i cant. Doing 115 on possible icy roads in traffic to mess with a car that would blow you away is just stupid. I highly doubt you kept up with him and if you were then he wasnt really getting on it.

amen to that! i just barely walked a stock STi and then turned around and got slaughtered by one with a downpipe. they run high 12's/low 13's in the quarter. i know the adrenaline get's going but come on....icy roads. it sounds like he was being an arrogant prick driving like that even with the awd.

LISTEN CAREFULLY
do us and our families a favor
take your car to a country road with NO traffic
go 115 being sure your seatbelt isn't on
upon seeing a big tree, steer towards it....
congratulations, you just took a retard off the road and likely prevented the death of someone's family member somewhere
oh yeah and you didn't keep up with sti so get that big idea outta your little head...

i dunno....i'm pretty sure in between getting stoned and skipping skool i was still smart enough to know that going 115 on icy roads is retarded
newbie vid is the shiznit though

I would actually appreciate no stupid negative comments about my driving, like i said it was a one time deal, and to have some of you critiizise/tell me im lieing? (like you were there to see it) if you have a problem then keep your mouth shut, thanks.

FastCougar.com and NewCougar.org does not condone illegal street racing! As such, harsh replies to such stories can and should be expected!
Please look at the top of the "Road Tales" section. You have been forwarned, and now we are flaming you for being a dipsh*t. Deal with it. If you dont wanna hear us b*tch, then stop being such a moron on the roads, and then bragging to everyone here for a "feat" that we all know is :bs:.
I will let some racing slide, if you do it in unpopulated areas, with no traffic, etc. But doing 115 in traffic is just sheer stupidity. Add ice to that mix, and you are lucky that you are alive today. You "usually" dont do that stuff? So what, you do it every once in a while? Its still one of the dumbest things I have ever heard in this section.
Your immaturity is becoming quite evident, since you still think there was nothing wrong with what you did. If you want to live to be 20, please listen to us when we say that it was stupid. Otherwise, your life may be short. I would hate to see a post in NECO Lounge that one of our members died in a crash that also killed a family on their way to dinner, all because they were trying to "show off" to a car that can/will smoke any Cougar that is remotly stock.
No, you did not "keep up" with an STi. He was playing with you, and wanted to see how dumb you were. Sorry, complain all you want, but that is a bunch of :bs:.

I can keep up with an STi...
A Stock one at least, or a bad driver in a modded one ;)
Still though...I do agree hitting 115 on a trafficky highway in below freezing conditions is not the smartest thing. You lived to tell about it this time, it may not be the same next time.
Just be safe...Cause it may not be you that ket's killed in an accident you cause...and that is called murder (a minimum of vehicular man slaughter legally)

The warning at the top of the forum says it all- you can expect harsh replies here to stories of abject stupidity and tales of the absurd. Understand this and take it with a grain of salt. If you did what you say you did and you're proud of it, then why do you care what other people say? If you know it, you know it, and that's all you should have to know.
But anyone start a name-calling fest and this thread is going to meet my master :lock:

Mattyd752 word of advice. I once posted on here thinkin i was cool how i raced an rx7 in my dads vette. Now it was late with no other cars on the road and in the middle of the summer not f**kin icy roads w ith traffic. Now i reliazed how stupid i was and that i couldve died or killed other innocent people like my g/f of some1 else who i dont even know. Now you need to learn that lesson and never do this again, of if you do it again please just wreck and kill yourself becuz i hate it know when people are so stupid when driving and then go and brag about it. Also never post somethin this dumb again like you kept up with an sti. BS. So for your sake just shut your mouth unless you wanna appologize and never do this again and or admit that you didnt keep up with an STI. Thanks

We dont have to be there to see it, we know the cars. Please list your extensive mod list and maybe someone will believe you, and it better be a decent list. Because if your stock or even have minor bolt ons there is no way you kept up with an STI. I cant even keep up with them and im willing to bet my car would smoke yours from a light, from a roll or from a high speed. Judging by your posts already im sure youll come back with some kind of Neon comment at me which is fine, ive heard em all. But if my car cant keep up with STI's then i know yours cant, especially since i had 2 Cougars. He was messing with you and letting you think you actually had a chance, ive done it to so many cars. Like i said, i normally stick up for people in this forum because i was a street racer for about 5 years and i am also a very aggressive driver but your story is too tough to defend.

I'm sorry....wait, no I'm not...but wishing death upon someone is just as immature and irresposible as driving 115 on icy roads. why don't you both grow up. wow.....someone did something stupid....congrats....welcome to the human race. no need to wish death on them.....so carsandrockmusic....or should i call you mr. perfect. Okay I didnt read many of the replies, but I couldnt stop laughing at this post.
You're just bored and wanted to look cool on here, so you posted a story about you keeping up with an STI, swerving in and out of traffic on icey roads  Right, and my eyes arent slanty either huh?

I didn't read the replies and frankly don't care to either. Let me just say (coming from one of the fastest cars on these boards)
:bs:
You couldn't keep up with a WRX let alone an STI. Plus if it was icey he had an even larger advantage....so quite frankly if you stayed with him then you were pushing very hard and he was driving normal.

mr. perfect will do just fine, thanks :)
anywayz you should be sorry for being a hard-headed tool who obviously can't comprehend the reasoning for the harshness of the post...if you think it's over the top, good...i hope you find yourself in traffic when two douschebags are goin 115 swervin all around you and other cars while it's icy....go ahead and make that out how you would like....me personally would rather see that person kill themselves only rather that possibly risking someone i care about's life...so now that i explained myself instead of just bein harsh, you understand a lil better?...if not you might as well drivin into a tree too...

in case you didn't read all of it, the last sentence....i'm not defending the driving choices of those involved. there are much better things you can wish upon someone rather then them dying...think about it, why kill em when you can make em suffer...... so you never drive fast, or race, or do anything remotely dangerous on the roads that could kill someone?.....don't say you don't, cause you do, everyone does. i'm just saying, don't wish death on someone.
maybe the STI wasnt full out racing cuz of the ice????? but since ur kind of a n00b ill be easy on you....here on fastcougar.com you will get ripped apart for stories like this...not just the fact that you "kept up" with an STI...but the fact that you where racing on icy roads with traffic at 115!!!!!!...come on man...pleese take it to the track......or may god have mercy on your sole...and the ones around you if you do this again :( .....we have all seen pics and videos of racing gone wrong....dont be another stat....

ugh....you're not trainable....if i told someone to jump off a bridge which would be to the same effect...it is NOT wishing death upon them...
and i go to a race track for racing....i don't race people in stupid situations and i use my best judgement if i do happen to come across someone who wants to get beat on the streets
