ill guesstimate here. the bottom part of the rear seast where your butts go id say is around 10 pounds. each back of the passenger seats is around 15-20 lbs. the front seats are around 40-50 lbs a piece. Id say total weight could be from 100 lbs to 150 for all the seats. Id image all the seats throughout the cougar years of 99-02 were the same.

sounds about right .... except one minor thing... i have the power driver side seat... i would imagine its a tad bit heavier.

the rears of the back seats are pretty heavy. the have metal plates in the back of them. so i would guess around 200 lbs. for all 4. i got 4mpg less when i drove with a full extra set of seats in my car for an hour and a half....

yeah if you got power seats add a couple pounds, if you like me you dont have them and can enjoy the extra 5 lbs of free weight :) I see no reason in why or asking this, than gutting your interior for weight saving. sparetire/jack/mat all is another approx. 50 pounds. then all the interior trunk carpet, light, strut tower plastic covers, speakers, rear quarter panels with the speakers grills, all brackets, seatbelts, seatbelt mechanisms, bolts, front carpet and front door panels is another 150 lbs including the spare. THEN you can take apart the dash, which im too afraid to do :banghead:

Oh yeah, i also noticed my MPG went up around 2 while driving with a gutted interior, and my exhaust was twice as loud inside the cabin. some say this could be bad, but i loved it.

The power seat is much more than 5lbs over the non-power seat. I will not try to guess the weight but it's got to be almost twice as heavy. When I remove my front seats last year, I remember the drivers seat being extremely heavy, and the passenger seat not being so bad. The back of the rear seats are heavy, but the bottoms of the rear seats are very light. I got the rear seats out now, and can weigh them if you really need to know the exact weight measurements.
