Yea, I'm leaving on the 23rd of this month. Where am I going? I'm not allowed to tell that... j/k... I'm enlisting in the Marine Reserves and I'll be shipping out for Basic Training then. Graduation will be on the 22nd of April, and then combat training on May 3rd for a month, and 6 weeks in Cali for my schooling. Then I'll be back in Pensacola (well, I may go to Montgomery, AL since that's where my Reserve station will be, but since it's only once a month, I may just drive the 3 hours and stay in Pcola).

Anywho, I'll be around until then, then I'm gone. Wish me luck (I'll probably need it.. :biggrin: )

holy! dont take this the wrong way, but you just dont strike me as a military personality, especially not MARINES!! I have a good friend from high school that has been in the Marine reserves for about 14 years now.

i'll tell you one thing for sure, you are going to be IN SHAPE or dead when basic training is over. combat training should add to that too.

good luck and keep in touch when you get a chance to get to a computer. attach some pics if you can too.

I have a few reasons, none too personal to ask.

I just want a change in the way my life is going. I'm rather stagnent right now with what I'm doing. With what I'm going into in the Marines, I'll be getting excellent computer network training and a secret security clearence, which will help land me a good paying civilian job. And it'll get me lazy ass in shape, as Doug mentioned.. :biggrin:

and yes, I'll be in SoCal eventually, I have 3 weeks Basic in Paris Island, VA, then 1 month combat training in South Carolinia, and then about 6 weeks in 29 Palms, Cal for schooling.


and I have no idea if i'll be able to get to Tampa before I go. I'd like to, but I don't know if I can with my schedule the way it is. I'll be sure to let you know if I do, though.
