Yes i am quite sure it is the clutch. Makes me angry, car has 45k on it. It must be my driving habits. I was thinking new
flywheel(maybe a light one) and a upgraded disk/pp/tob. Other then searching focus sites, has any cougar owner
replaced these parts with anything other then OEM stuff. When I do this job i want to have the right parts. Any little
odd parts i will need? (clips/washers/certain doodads that should be replaced also) I dont need super fancy race
parts, as my coug is stock. I just want a clutch that i can trounce on. My cougar does burn-outs, clutch dumps, and
tons of downshifting into corners. If the stock parts lasted 45k, I cant imagine how the performance parts will work.

all i can think of is probably a competition stage 2 clutch and lightened freewheel from customcougars.com. but that almost $700. but who knows, it may be worth it.
