Well if you plan to modify your cougar, you have found the right place. Welcome! Glad to see another Delaware member! First off, what year and color do you have?
Also, check out CougarDB (http://www.cougardb.com/), tons of pictures of cougars to give you some ideas.

We do have meets. It is ashamed that fastcougar.com lost a bunch of posts recently, you could have checked out some pictures from our previous meets. Actually, here are a couple pics from previous meets. (http://community.webshots.com/album/200005934hCsGjQ) This month, we are colaborating with Keystone (PA) NECO and having a meet.

If you go with that kit, it won't look right unless you throw some 18's or 19's on because of how extreme the kit is.

Welcome to the boards! And keep the car green! It's a beautiful exotic color that's different that anything else on the road.... But then again, I'm a biased green cougar owner!
To answer your question about fender flares: have you seen this website www.krazykustomz.com ? Check out their pictures section and you'll see just how big of a procedure fender flare installation is. In my opinion, fender flares should start at the bottom of the front bumper and curve around to the beginning of the side skirt (vice versa for the rear) in order to look good. I've seen cars (not just coogs) with flares that only start at the front bumper/fender joint and stretch to the side skirt but I think it looks chintzy. But modifying your car should reflect you personal taste and not the views of others. So anyways... fender flare installation is a long and tedious process. I recommend that you do a LOT of research before you buy flares. Call around to several body shops and get them to quote you a price to install and paint custom flares.
It seems that you're doing quite well with your modifications! Keep up the good work, and I look forward to meeting you at any upcoming meets!
Keep on coogin'

yeah i never thought about how much it would cost to get it installed. i know i cant do it so it will prolly cost lots. i was thinkin about painting the car blue with some crazy designs but lately i have been thinking about just keeping it green. but im not goin to get it painted till may so i still have lots of time to think about it. i just got my 3 peice carbon fiber kaminari wing painted so hopefully i can install that soon, but i got insurance due next month so the wing will prolly be it till march lol.
