As many of you know, I'm staying in a hotel whilst my house is being repaired (1 month and counting). Yesterday, I got a call from the front desk asking me if I owned a blue Cougar. As it turns out, some out of staters "didn't see my car" and backed completely into it! I'll need a new bumper, but I was honestly hoping NOT to have anything major this year! Oh well. Gives me an excuse to start adding body pieces. :biggrin:

This is one of the problems with SUVs - they can see right over top of cars and not realize it. :(
My dad backed into my first Escort with the Suburban, and the Escort had a nasty dent in the hood for the rest of its life.
Another time, a guy backing up his Blazer hit that same car. He hit me pretty hard, but the only damage was to his car (metal bumpers on the Escort). :)

Same thing that happened to my '64 Catalina... We think it was a moving van, but we can't prove it and no one fessed up. :disgust:

I give the guy who backed into me mad props because he had the hotel track me down so that he could give me his information. He called his insurance company yesterday to report the claim so I was able to take my car to Browning's today! The thing that I couldn't understand is that his wife had done the same thing with a light pole several months earlier, so you would think that they would be extra cautious. :shrug: Although, since we nearly had a head on collision later in the day (he's a scary driver), I'm not surprised.
A Wings West Rear Valence is on it's way! Woohoo! :banana:

Not sure how long the Cougar is out for. The body shop said yesterday or today. I'll give them a hollah soon.
The Amanti is very luxurious, however, the gas mileage is killing me!
