I am trying to take off the cams from the heads how do u take the water pump pully off of the cam so u can take the cam out of the hole

I just took my cams off the other day, left the WP pully on.
Im confused???

You dont slide the cams out if thats what you are thinking. You need to unbolt the cams from the heads.

If you are asking that question you obviously do not have the service manuals and are most likely screwing up the detailed removal procedure which can damage all the parts involved.
STOP IMMEDIATELY!!!

demon is right... you dont have the information you need here... if you did you would know that that pulley is pressed on and dosent come off the cam. but if you left the thrust caps on, and removed the cam cap bolts already, you already messed it up... I'm glad it's your engine and not mine...
Internal engine work isn't to be played around with... either buy the less reputable haynes manual, or the ford cd on ebay. I have both, I use the haynes to learn the basics, then use the ford cd to confirm or deny what i learned... I like the haynes manual because i can sit and read it easier than on my crappy, slow computer, but rather trust the Tq values, etc on the cd

ok that is what i wanted to know.. thanks.. i have the haynes. manual. i just got it today.. and i didn't want to do anything to the cams before i knew fursure how to take them off with out wrecking them
