Ok, whos got some new info on their autocrossing careers during this offseason? I know everyone is doing something new.

For me:

After taking the 2004 FM championship, It looks like a move to BM and into a Legrand/Yamaha is in the works. Also the Coug is getting some new legs and muscles for itself (DSP setup)

Not only am I a class champ, for this upcoming season I will also be our local regions Solo-II co-chair and safety steward. I'll be assuming this on top of being the registrar for events.

Plus we're also in the middle of negotiating for the use of a new airfield to run our events. Our old one is closed due to hurricane Ivan and to the Air Force for building a new parachute jump school on. The new airfield were going for has 3 strips a mile long and 200 feet wide in a triangle with access roads aplenty for course design.

No big changes. I'm sliding back to DSP (the M3 and STi in SM are getting too fast for me) next year and looking for new tires. Hopefully the 710s, but I may end up using the Ecsta V700 again.

Our region has a lead on 2 possible new sites, so we may have a little more variety. [crosses fingers]

well I put headers on this weekend, no class change but more power. Id like to get some sticky tires since I have an extra set of rims now.

We lost one location. Merriville high school put in permanent parking blocks so we are looking at some other schools.

Id like to become a safty steward this year since we have 2/3 in the chapter but thats up in the air right now

Oh yeah and I wasnt to go to the evolution driving school before the season starts up

I've settled on STX class for Froge'

Just replaced the two front strut bearings after one of the originals froze. Found the problem after adding camber plates. Now the car handles much better..

Unfortunately my wife is seriously ill. This will keep me away from the track until she gets better. She is great moral support..

Read your copy of Wheelspin.

Beth and Dave found a couple of potential sites and are in the process of contacting the owners about them becoming solo II sites. Nothing is solid though, so it is possible that we will still only have a decaying UMB and Gateway.

After much deliberation about switching cars, I've decided that I'm going to keep autocrossing the Cougar for next year. I'm planning on moving to DSP from STS, mainly so that I can legally swap in a different fuel pump and run with an accumulator in the engine lube system.

I'm a little disappointed to have to switch classes, since our region's STS class was pretty big and very competitive. DSP is much smaller and slower... in fact, I would have won one event and finished second in another had I been classed in DSP instead of STS.

I am looking forward to running sticky tires next year though!

Well, my plan on trying to run a season may be crap out of luck, depending on how soon I can get new brakes and suspension on the car. 95K miles and my stock stuff is really showing its age. I knew it would - but the event I went to really exposed how bad its gotten.

Plus I started throwing CELs again. I've been harboring thoughts of swiping my wifes A4 and running in a stock class.

I'd love to get into this - I can't get into car modding for no purpose other than to look at them and it turns out I am better driver than mechanic (mostly cause I am a horrible mechanic). I may just have to be patient.
