Altezza mod, all planed out.

So, I love a white car with chrome trimmings and would you belive I like altezza tails :confused: So I have these planned out and I'm working on getting my kit together. should look pretty hot. Also to each their own. So love it or hate it ;)

I don't think anybody has even accomplished altezza lights, no matter how hated they are. People say they hate it, but nobody even knows what it looks like on a Cougar. The closest I've seen were the taillights where all the red was removed, and all you see are the bulbs...but that didn't look too good IMO. Good luck man

I realy don't know why people hate 'altezza lights' so much. Really I just don't understand it and I think most people hate them because they get bashed on here. It looks like they're really coming along nicely and can't wait to see what they look like on the car. Good luck with those and mad props for stepping up and doing it. Maybe if they turn out good, like it seems they are, you can make me some ;)

They look to be Altezzas made for the 7th Gen Accord.

I think the reason people hate them is that you can buy them off ebay for 20 bucks, so every owner of a P.O.S. Civic or Neon has them. If you had to pay like 300 bucks for a set, and you didn't see them on every piece of crap out there, we might like them :)

I don't mind the style like is showing with the drilled rings around the lights...I'm interested to see how they turn out.

but, Ill be impressed when someone does their own "G35 esque" style taillights (circular LED's ) with the stock red lenses. The guys over at ClubRSX have already done this and it looks amazing. It would also fit the look of our tailights very well.

Normaly, I don't care for the altezza look, I think it's a disgrace what Lexus did with those hideous lights on their SUV... But what you've done is really cool looking. I'd really like to see that on a Cougar.

I can't believe it took this long for someone to try 7th Gen Accord stuff on Cougar's, since its the worst Cougar rip-off I have ever seen. If I was Ford, I would sue the crap out of them for copying Cougar's. I guess it just shows how much Cougar's are envied and copied.

C'mon people, the Accord coupe is a Cougar with different (and not by much) headlights. The first time i saw an Accord coupe I thought it was a customized Cougar.

Hey, maybe we should feel good that in order to sell cars, Honda had to copy the Cougar. I haven't heard of any alternator or sunroof problems yet, though.

Goodluck with all of the work. I am going to find it funny to see how many other people who flame the newbs asking about altezzas come and give you the thumbs up. Looks like the two taillight are close enough, so it gives you a pretty good start with all of that. I don't like the look of altezzas (the light is generally pink over red, I don't like the chrome housings, etc.) but hope you get this all finished up. I think they will look much better than your clear cougar lights ;)

As for the Accord... there are a LOT of cars which have similar shapes as the cougar, and the cougar wasn't the first. Somewhere down the line you can trace just about every styling cue from one car to another. Honestly, I think the new 2-door accord is a beautiful car (even for honda). It's sleek, simple, and just nice. The 4-door is another story... what the hell were they thinking with the rear end?

As for Lexus... I don't think you can really bash them for what they did to their SUV... Toyota did pretty much start the "Altezza" trend (hence the name). I DON'T like what they did with the E series taillights (luxury sedans just don't go with it), but the SUV isn't too bad. I do like the previous models taillights better though. I think if any SUV should be getting bashed, it should be the Mitsubishi Highlander(??) whatever their cheap SUV is called. THAT thing looks bad.

The Mitsubishi "Outlander" is actually a pretty cool little SUV... and dont take my word for it just because I sell them ;)

but I do agree the New honda body is very very similar to the cougar... we have a honda store right next to our mitsubishi store so I see alot of them... they are at first glance easy to mistake for a coug.
