just an "fyi" for me...the guy who built my engine, among the many other things he didn't do correctly, he didn't put the 24# injectors from the 3L escape engine on my hybrid...my engine still has the stock cougar 17# injectors...what would everyone suggest I do? Thursday I finish my car and start it for the first time in 8 months. I read somewhere in the forum about swapping to atleast 19# injectors (i'm assuming the higher the # the better), first question: why is this? and second, should I swap the 24# injectors and what will happen if I do?

The 17lb injectors might take your car to 4500rpm.
24lb injectors would be a logical swap since you got a set with the 3L.
19lb injectors would be a better match for most 3L's but then again you'd have to buy them.
With any injector swap you will need a custom chip to run worth a damn in all areas. (idle, cruise, part throttle, WOT, etc)

OK, I have the chip, just need to send it back to have it reprogrammed (it was programmed with the wrong set up), once I get the chip back, I will swap the injectors. just wanted a second opinion (or third or fourth if anyone else wants to throw in their 2 cents  ) before I went and did something if it didn't really help the engine all that much...
