Can you believe I went to three different auto parts stores and not one of them knew what a stacked plate cooler was?

Finally found one at the last store. I think it might be to big though. It was the only one in stock so I couldn't compare to others.

The measuments are .75 x 9.75 x 11. This didn't seem overly large to me untill after I got back to work and I looked closer at the box. This size is heavy duty for up to class C motorhomes towing up to 5000 lbs. yikes. I'm just a daily driver. Would I have problems with to much cooling? expecially in the winter?

If anyone wanted to look up the spec's it's a Hayden Rapid Cool model 678

Nope, you should have no problems. My B&M is 10-1/4"H x 11"W X 1-1/2"D and it works great.

cool, did you mount yours inline after the stock "cooler" or by-pass it all together?

Also did you cut the lines or find fittings that work on the stock lines? I am leaning towards cutting the lines and using flareless fittings and hose barbs.

I'll try to remember to take pics cause I have search the boards and find no one that has documented their install.

when I was going to put mine on no auto store had a clue as to what kind of fitting I needed so I just cut the lines with a pipe cutter and clamped the hoses on. I connected it after the stock cooler to get maximum cooling.

you haven't had any problem with the hose blowing off the line just slipped over it like that? I don't know what pressures are in that line but I'd be worried it would blow off. Even with a clamp there's no barb to hold it on....

I did the same thing. You wont have any trouble with it coming lose, its just fluid flowing, not much pressure.
