Even though I've never had a good time at the fright fests, 6 flags is good even in the cold :) I would go, but I will be starting a new job soon and everything, so I won't be able to swing the costs or the time yet. BUT, I am DEFINATELY going to 6 Flags over and over again next season when that new coaster is built. Holy crap!! Have you seen that thing? If something changes, I'll come.

The new coaster is called Kingda Ka...

Here's a blurb about the new coaster released a week or so ago...

"Six Flags Great Adventure has announced Kingda Ka, the world's tallest and fastest coaster. Built by Intamin, this Rocket Coaster will launch riders from 0-128 MPH in 3.5 seconds before sending them soaring 456-feet above the ground. The ride's layout will be similar to Cedar Point's Top Thrill Dragster; however, Kingda Ka will feature a 129-foot airtime hill almost immediately following the 270º spiraling plummet. The ride, part of "The Golden Kingdom," an 11-acre, jungle-themed section of the park replete with tigers, monkeys and other animals, is expected to open spring 2005."


0-128mph in 3.5sec...that's like a really slow cougar ;)

This is a pic of the ride... Basically it shoots you out reaching 128mph in 3.5sec, then you climb straight up to 456 ft, do a 270deg twist, then drop straight down, then back up a 129 ft hill, then down, back around and back to the start...this loooooook CRAZEEEEEE

i wish i saw this post about the meet on sat because i ended up going there with about 10 of my friends. there were way too many people to even try and recognize anyone.... we spent the whole morning doing all the rides ... we spent a lot of time at nitro since that is now the best ride in the park ... and from 8:30 till midnight we were on line for the hay ride. oh and someone earlier mentioned something about the new ride, well there is a catch to it... to ride it next year you have to be a 2005 season pass member ... you will not be able to ride it without buying a season pass.
