ok...First......I just purchased the Infinity Kappa 572.5cf's and need to know what harnesses I need to connect them to my factory wiring. I know i can just wire them...but I would rather have the harnesses.
Second: I have the Blaupunkt cd/mp3 player from the 04-05 Focus and it has a sub out and 12v out on the harness. I want to add a sub and need some help on one to add. I'm not looking for outrageous sound...just to improve the stock sound. Thanks for your help.

do what I am doing for subs, I am going with one 12" JL W7 and one 1000/1 JL amp. These two together are awesome. Or to save money, go with one 10" W7 and one 500/1 amp it still pounds. I think in the long runI will have two 12" W7's with two 1000/1 powering them both. For my highs and mids I have a 450/4 channel JL amp. one yellow top battery, one 3Farad cap.

since you are only looking for reasonable bump...there is no sense wasting $600 on a w7 and another $600 on the 1000.1....
any entry level 12" sub made by a reputable company will be more then what you are looking for...
JL W3 will be perfect
Pheonix Gold Titanium also very nice
cadence and RE make decent subs too
Krapper...oooops i mean Kicker makes a decent Comp VR
RF punch series 3 subs will work too
JBL GTO series subs are sweet too..
the system mentioned by shaolinfist will cost you upwards of $3000 once you get your wires and all and box...
the subs i mentioned are simple relatively inexpensive and will pound like hell

thanks man! Yeah I looked into those and said...."those guys are crazy!" For 3000 I could almost turbo my Cougar!!!
How is the Infinity Kappa subs? I saw some on ebay.

id go with the JL w3v2's out of the list crazyoldcougarput up, very cheap but still can pound. especially if you buy them used or off ebay, but ive heard RE makes good subs and phoenix gold too, just look around a lot and see which you like best and go with them

what i did was just take the harnessed off the stock speakers and splices them onto the new infinitys . . . so i didnt have to cut the harness wiring attatched to the car. . . worked great

JL's are overpriced, like the one i'm selling right now actually......... anyways, you should look at Resonant Engineering (http://www.reaudio.com) or Adire Audio (http://www.adireaudio.com) for some very, very nice subs that are reasonably priced.
