Break In!!

As some of you know, I am a music minister at a church here in Akron. Well guess what happened last night?(as if the title doesn't give it a way). Someon broke into our church and stole about $9,000 worth of equipment!! They stole our drums( $2,500), our subwoofer ($1000), 3 of our amps( $3,000) and our reverbe unit, eq, and some other miscalanious stuff. They new exactly what they wanted though, because they left both keyboards, all other percussion, video cameras, soundboard etc. etc. They broke through the bathroom window, and climbed over a wall to get to the sound room. So anyway this morning has been kind of a crazy morning:shrug:. We have a detective that goes to our church so he came in and brought a few cops. They checked everything and it was clean so they had to have worn gloves. Anyway, I just thought I would share my fun morning with everyone. I am not bummed about it, because we have insurance so we get all new equipment, however, I am kind of bummed that first off anyone could steal anything from anywhere, but especially a church. oh well. back to work.:biggrin:

Man so sorry to hear that happened to your church, I guess there are no exceptions to stealing, If your gonna steal whats the difference where its from..It's still wrong, I'd make sure all the local music shops know about it have them keep and eye out for people trying to trade or sell stuff..

Yeah I have already called around a few places, becuase I know alot of the places around here real well, so they are going to be on the look out. However, like I said they knew exactly what they wanted, so I don't think they have intentions of selling it. If they did, then they would have probably taken the keyboards and stuff as well, instead of being worried about dumb things like a guitar stand.

that sucks a big one man. i dont know why anyone would want to steal from a church. or steal at all. sorry to hear about that.

Coming from one who's always been pretty active in my church back home and now has found a place in my church at school, this takes the cake as one of the lowest crimes imaginable. I cant even begin to imagine the disgust that must be going through your congregation. I just hope that you all find out who it was and prosecute them to the fullest!!

If you need anyone to smash some skulls, well call someone else, I dont wanna go to jail :) But Id help track um down anyday!!
