Ok so I'm driving the cougar to work two weeks ago (daily driver was broke) and this lady
is riding my ass in this cavalier. The speed limit is 45 so I speed up to 50 to get away from her.
she stays right on the back of my car. I speed up to 55 and right as I come over this hill there's
a cop there parked in a driveway standing infront of his car with a radar gun. I slow down but it's to late
he's running back to his car all excited and $h!t. I slow down and pull over right past the driveway.
The a-hole lady passes me and he pulls up behind me with no lights on and waves me on. I'm like cool
my lucky day. I get half way through first gear and he nails the lights and starts motioning for me to
pull over:crazy:. He tells me I was doing 60..no Fing way! Then he sees my Arizona license (never got
it changed after I moved back) and tells me that I've been in the state too long and he's taking it from me.
I tell him I need it to get my Ohio license or else I'll have to take the written and driving test all over. He proceeds
to give me this line of $h!t about how I can use the ticket as a temporary license:rolleyes: liar! The next day I go to
the cop shop where he works and ask for my license and explain I can't get my Ohio one without it and they give it back.

Ok so I got my AZ license back so I go get an Ohio one and then go to pay my ticket. When I get to the cop shop they tell me I have
a ticket for out of state license and a speeding ticket and it'll cost $235.00. I tell them I'll take jail time...they laugh
thinking I'm kidding but I'm not so they tell me to just go to court and contest it. I go to court the judge takes one look
at the ticket I tell my story pleed no contest and she says..."don't worry he didn't even fill the ticket out correctly".

So technically I've still never had a speeding but I did get a ticket for having an out of state license. Only had to pay $120.00
I hate the majority of cops some are ok but most are a-holes.

 What a turd. He can't even fill out a ticket correctly.

At least you didn't get the speeding ticket on your record.

actually Mike, they can take your license and u have to use the ticket as a form of ID in some instances. Well atleast in WI they can. Usually only for excessive speeding violations.

Good to hear that your ins wont go up...

yeah but he was saying was to use the ticket as my temporary license to go get my Ohio license which is not legal. If I go to
the DMV with an out of state license all I have to do is take an eye test and the written driving test (which I passed
with flying colors missed 2 out of 40). But when I went there with no out of state license and a stupid ass ticket as a
temporary license they laughed at me and told me to take the driving and written test all over again. That's why I
went to the cop shop and demanded my license back which they were actually pretty cool about.

either that cop is an idiot:biggrin:

I must have missed that part. But ya he was correct with the license if u had an Ohio License. I am just learning about how important it is to document all of the information to its entirety for cases like this. hehehe

That's awesome Mike to hear you beat it. There's so many crooked/stupid cops around here. The one and only time I got a ticket, I wasn't speeding (honest to god). The town is such a hillbilly town though and is going down the gutter due to no money. Tried to go to court but it was such a biased court, pissed me off so bad. I actually go about 5 below when i go through that town now.
