OK, as you guys know i'm trying to get a racing meet going in NE (YAY) And i found Epping does test days for $25 for almost any car. I will e-mail them and ask about us using the track on one of these test days, but is anyone close to the track and can host a meet after the racing? Since its from 9-5, perhaps have a meet after the event, involving food, and telling stories and such of the day's events... You get the point...

I want to do it in NH because i want you northerners to come as well... Aren't i thoughtful? but anywho... anyone up to hosting some kind of gathering?

Or if not possible, anyone know the area near the track, to know where to hang out and eat and hangout some more?

moi!
I'm 20-25 minutes from the track.
I'm the closest one I know of.
I live in a duplex with decent amount of parking space in my driveway.
I think we've fit a good 6 cars in the driveway for some meets.
Afterwards we usually hang in our livingroom and watch videos of past car meets and stuff.
(a viewing of a Cougarfest '04 video at that time would be cool, if possible).

As far as places near the track to hang out, I'm clueless.
but like I said, Manchester is not that far away, and there are plenty of places to hang and eat. There's even a whole bunch of riceboys that hang out on S. Willow Street in different parking lots. They just park and watch the cars go by, and occasionally go cruise the strip.

I'm not too keen on racing my car, but that doesn't mean I can't still go to support the rest of you guys and hang afterward.

i know you just posted that to pirate the forum again, but...

I have yet to get a response from the track in regards to our use of it. I will probibly call on wednesday and ask?

Kim, you wouldn't happen to know if anyone lackey can come off the street in any kind of car and just run the course duing a test session would you? From what i can gather from the test session page, it's open to anyone, any car, no restrictions... but something dosent seem right about it... perhaps its just me and it's very common for drag tracks to have open gates, but this is new for me...

how does sunday, oct 24th sound? its over a month away, and theres only t+t at the track that day, no organized events... this would mean that there wont be any interruption in test and tune runs... so we'd be able to do continuios runs permitting how busy it gets... and since the season will be at its end, i doubt it will be too crazy..

This is the last step before i make an official announcement in terms of a meet... kim, let me know if you would like to have a meet at your place and if the 24th is good.

I'll need to doublecheck, but I'm pretty sure that day is free for me.

the 24th is not really optimal for us.
Most Sundays aren't, especially due to football season.
What about the 23rd?

well i would like to show on a day thats only t+t, that saturday also has quick-street racing, meaning we would only be able to run when there not... and of course, they have priority...

Heres the track schedule for October. (http://www.newenglanddragway.com/schedule/calendar/2004/10_2004.shtml)

But if you would perfer a staurday, how's Sat, Oct 30th? should be cold by then, so faster times! especially since its right after the end of the season, i dont anticipate too many people there... but i could be wrong...

the only thing about the 30th, is that I am going on vacation with my mother for a few days from the 31st to the 3rd... btu whats one more day off?

I won't be able to host on the 30th because I'll be gone all day to a party up north.
feel free to still have this meet without me though.
even if there isn't a local host house, this meet is still doable.
You'd just have to hang in a parking lot or at a restaurant instead of at someone's house.
There's plenty to do and eat in Manchester, especially on the main roads like S. Willow and Elm street.
Fun can still be had.
