I tuned it....
I was shocked myself, but the biggest kicker is that the 99.95 was my lowest trap speed of the day. All other runs were in the 102's. I'll hit 13's for sure when I get the new clutch, install my y-pipe, and hopefully racing seats.

Congrats on the lower ET's. Who ran the 14.9?

Brad (atomicinternet) did, he had some faster runs earlier in the day as well.

now see......that's why i hate those free site places.....freakin banthwith limits.
anyways, those are awesome numbers......what's next for mods? it would be so badass to see a cougar hit the mid to high 13's! how was that 14.0 run? you think you can get more out of her in current state?
edit: nevermind the mods question.....i see. clutch, seats, and y-pipe:thumbsup:

The run itself felt VERY fast...then again I drive a cougar so what do I know. lol
And yes, I have the y-pipe already I just have to relocate the O2 bung. I am in the process of selling svt cams so that will free the $$ for my clutch. I am now saving for a LSD and will refinish my flywheel (wish I could get a lightweight one but $$ with a wedding next yr doesn't seem likely). Lastly the seats i'm hoping to get for x-mas. I'll install all the drivetrain stuff next year and take it easy on the clutch until then. Once the drivetrain mods are done i'm upping to a 100 shot and re-tuning. I should easily be well into the 13's. Predicting a 13.7 or better. Anyone wanna donate any of the above mods?

you have to defend your title as fastest cat @ CF, lol. i can't wait to see you run with those mods! all i have to donate is an 02 fuel pump and some cougar script letters. if you want those you can have em but i don't think the fuel pump will work for you will it?

Have you thought about running a seperate fuel cell and not having to worry about using premium all the time? Im eventually planning on doing this.

haven't thought of that.....that could be a damn good idea. Did you have ruff costs figured out yet?

I have researched the idea a little bit in the past, but never really got around to buying all the parts. Typical setup you could have is a JAZ nitrous enrichment fuel cell, NOS inline fuel injection fuel pump with filter and a Aeromotive regulator. You can wire the seperate fuel pump up so when the nitrous system is activated the fuel pump is on.

If your going to go through all that trouble might as well fill that extra tank with RACE Gas.
Though the primary tank may require premium regardless if you plan on chipping your car and especially if you want to run SVT cams. It would be kinda silly to go through all that work to make the cougar run so well then baby it on regular gas when your tuned motor requires better.
just go buy a $200 beater and drive that in order to conserve fuel.

I've actually just determined my plans for this winter in the car.
My spec stage 2 is coming
svt flywheel is coming
ordering the torsen or quaife by months end
getting a 10K or less escape engine
PnP the heads for a nitrous setup
Should be installing it all around march at the same time. Upping the shot to a 100. The above setup should yield at least 270 whp on the juice and 200 without. These are VERY conservative numbers but i'd rather aim low and mark high then aim high and be let down.
