hey everyone i'm from mississippi but only live like 45 mins from alabama and since there's no mississippi neco i thought i'd talk to you guys and see when ya'll meet and shoot the breeze.

Welcome! It is pretty dead in this corner of the forums. There have been a few meets, but its been a long time since we had one. The only one I have been to was here in Montgomery (we met at the drag strip and ran the Cougars.....depressing..hehehe)

If you're ever over this way, shout, maybe some of us can get together. I know here in Montgomery, there is a local restraunt that has a cruise night once a month...might be kinda fun to show up there in force and represent.

we have alabama meets, its just when we post here no one shows up...so we just let the people that usually come know that we are having one. We have one on the 23rd if anyone is interested.

nothing jacked up about it, it's the truth. Ask sobecougar or darthvedder. We've posted numerous meet threads on here and those are the only two that show up. Im not hating on anyone here. Ill post a thread for the meet after this one. But if you ever try and start a meet thread, see who actually shows up. I bet maybe one or two people from this board ACTUALLY show.

The only way you are ever going to increase attendance at meets is to let people know when/where you are having them.

Hubby and I look *here* for info on meets and if we don't see anything posted, then we have no way of knowing about an Alabama meet. I wish we would have known about the meet on the 23rd. In fact, I read the posts about the meet from July getting moved to sometime in October, but when I looked here in the forums again for more info, there wasn't anything about it.

Not everyone is going to be able to attend every meet. But if a group in Bama is getting together, it would be nice if y'all would post it here so people at least have an opportunity to attend.

A few ceger's (http://contour.org) are planing a meet in Huntsville around Feb. I will be setting up some dyno time as well,

I will post here when some develops a little more, that is why I have posted about it. I do know that a few CEGer's will be coming from Chicago, so... The last few times that we have had meets in HSV, the only person that showed was a single member from Focal Jet. We had a great time, but everyone knows that more is better. Much Better!!!

As far as how CEG style meets go... there is a lot of fast driving through the mountains, as well as through town, we normally take a laps at the local drag strip (if it is open at the time) as well as tons of hang time at the hotel doing mods and just plain messing around.

We would love to have you guys there! Hector, a Zetec CEGer, will be supercharged this year so he will be spending the most time on the dyno! Anyone else should speak up now.
