Guys I need help.

I'm not so good with the cougar's electrical system

I need to know where to tap into a ignition wire

like a wire that is only live when ignition is turned on.
Help please if you know.

One of the wires coming out of the back of your radio is an accessory wire. This wire is only live when your car is on.

Orange W/ black stripe= Battery
Yellow W/ green " = Acc.v <-- This is the one you want.
Black W/ green " = Ground
Blue W/ black " = Illumination

Just to make sure, just get a multi-meter and check if there's current running through it while the ignition is turned on. If there is, just keep measuring it than turn the ignition off and it'll tell ya. That's how i usually did it, but if pyro already knows what color it is i guess it's kinda hopeless.

Or in the headlight switch bundle the large red with a small blue stripe will only come on with parking or headlights...not just ignition though.

I ended up tapping into the Green with white strip wire coming off the ignition harness.
easy to get to and works just fine

so I can always have a nice warm high PSI bottle when I need it.
