Yep, that's right - NOT a Cougar part, but a stainless OBX header for my Saturn. After I have this thing welded up Saturday, Project: Rubbermaid Rocket will almost be complete, drivetrain-wise. All that remains will be a cat-back, and the Saturn will be a real killer. So far I have intake, TB, solid filled motor mounts, front STB, and performance wires on it, and the thing is a little screamer. I'm pretty much certain that it could easily take down the Cougar in the 1/4 mile (although the freeway is an ENTIRELY different matter).

Actually, mod-wise, the Sat and the Cougar are both about in the same boat. Top end is pretty much done, and they're waiting for exhaust.

Brian, I think I'd like to call it Project Snowflake.
That is going to be one fast Saturn wagon.

Just as long as nobody reffers to it as "snowball" :ugh:
[manly voice]Not too bad but i'd like something more masculine sounding.[/manly voice]

You're darn right, I'm gonna run it in the 1/4. I'm thinking mid 15's, depending on how cranky my clutch is. The rims are SUPER light, and the tire sidewall is smaller than stock. It's just too bad Columbus doesn't have a convenient drag strip. So who knows when I'll get some slips. In the meantime I'll stick to shocking the rice out of the local import kids...

Uh...sorry to hijack your thread, Andy.

Your saturns a wagon!! Wow. That's kinda funny. I guess i can see the potential in those cars, they ARE made of plastic which equal very light.

Yeah. We didn't buy it to mod it, but it's an awesome platform. VERY well-balanced, and yes, very light. And mods are cheap and easy to get. I know a guy in Arizona who ran a stock Saturn wagon at the strip and threw down a 15.9, pretty much right off the showroom floor. That's what I ran in my Cougar with all kindsa mods, and a well-broken-in motor. Sad, really.
