So who surprised you? (Meeting all the peeps)

One of the perks of the position i was in for CougarFest 2004 was that i got to meet everybody. Some of you were exactly what i expected, but some of you i wouldn't have guessed in a million years. Others acted differently than i expected. Some examples of this:

Sammy aka Q4Kntmare - Much taller than i expected
Adam aka EdgeCat - A bit shorter and smaller overall than i expected
Ness1216 - Once again, taller that i expected
HugsNSmiles - Much quieter than i expected ;)

I don't have many since I forget what people look like easily and I usually don't go into things with too many expectations. here goes:

Trevor - taller and thinner than I thought
Norcalcoug - shorter and thinner than I remembered - also better looking than last pic I had seen of him (he had blue hair due to a dare).
ov3n - SOOOO QUIET. seriously. I guess I had the misfortune of only seeing him sober, but he didn't talk much, and when he did it was very quiet.
He politely laughed at all my lame jokes. He's still as silly as his posts, but just really quiet. Mike thought he was kickass.
GMK - shorter than I thought. still teh hawtness though :flushed:
nuty1der - taller and more pierced, not that that's a bad thing ;)
Ty - more black than I expected ;) j/k


There are a couple more, but I think they'd offend certain people, so I'm not going to post them.

The girl riding in the back seat of one of the Keystone Cougars - in much less pain than I expected. I felt bad for her and almost offered her a ride in my car.

In general, I have to say that this club has some very beautiful women in it. I already knew that from meeting the Maryland and Capital members at meets, but at Fest ... wow!

As far as what I expected ... not alot really.. the only person that really ever freaked me out was Trevor when I talked to him on the phone.. he has alot higher voice than I expected... and I was also freaked out when I found out that the hotel person I was dealing with over the phone was Asian because she always sounded black to me.. (not intended to sound racial at all)

OH.. and I might be the only person who did not know that Mike (Norcal) was Asian... I always saw him in my head as some big white guy that could take me over his knee and spank me hard enough to cry... hehe...

everyone I met was cool... I didn't get to meet Kim or Tankgirl though :(

we REALLY need name tags next year... it helped so much at HCKC last year.

Actually - i must say... not just to Oven, but there were a LOT of people whom i really wanted to hang out with and didn't get the chance too... just because time was so limited.
I wanted to spend at LEAST an hour at the glow off just listening to 35thAnivOwners (Rick's) car... the sound system he has now is insanely clear... it was awesome, but i had to rush off to deal with my own stuff.
George and i didn't hang out as much as i thought we would, neither did Mary and I, I didn't get NEARLY enough time with those awesome California guys :) same with talking to Don... i really wanted to hang out with him this year, but was only able to catch him for a few short moments at a time. heh, same with trevor and all the staff...
Theres just like ... a weeks worth of meeting people, all crammed into 2 days! heh.

Nobody was nothing like i expected. Some people i thought were going to be pissy, but was very cool. Then you have the standard "I thought you were taller/shorter/skinnier/fatter/older/younger/etc/etc/etc". A few people looked a lot different than their pics that i've seen.

lol I do get the "thought you were a guy" but thats cool, some of us girls do like heavy metal. RJ next time we'll hang out and compare cds. or just chillin to them. Most people who come to CF just listen to Rap or Hip hop. I was pleasantly surprised when I got into Basic Digital's car and linkin park was playing.

Matt (ND4SPD) listens to, but for some reason we've never just turned it on loud and obscene.
