Lyndsay was so kind to bring my Cougar up 11 hours so I could have it for CougarFest. By herself with no radio, and a track ready gutted interior.

Though my car didnt make it for the Track Events and wasnt clean in time for the show. I am SOOOO happy she was able to bring it. I cannot express my thanks enough.

For those who do not know. My cougar's alternator died the day before departing for Fest. Luckly the Alternator itself was under warrently and my Mechanic was able to do me a favor and get it in first thing. BUT come to find out when we installed the new alternator it would not charge, and we where already late. So I sucked it up and left my cougar at home....only to find out 6 hours into the trip that the problem with my alternator was just an easy fix with the wiring. DAAAMMMMIT lol

But Lyndsay was stuck at home because her new shiny 3.0 was not quite ready. But she was kind enough to bring my car up for me, so she could meet everyone at fest and enjoy some Red Death. She evin paid $200 bucks out her own pocket to pay to get my car out of the shop! I couldnt have asked for a better friend!

Thanks Lyndsay! *hug*

Wow, Im amazed that this is the first alternator problem involving the trip to/from Fest or in the couple days before Fest. For a car as notorious as the Coug for alt problems, I expected to read about more people that had problems. My worst fear about wanting to attend my first Fest next year is having my alt either go out on the road or right before I leave.

no, cgburn's car had alt problems too. it was supposed to be us riding in his coug till the alt problem surfaced. then my coug had a nail in the tire and didn't have time to get fixed. so we took the more comfortable xterra instead. with the extra wife to add a third driver into the mix.

Well not sure if I have a alt problem, I thought I saw a nasty flicker,
but I now have to fix my fan resistor pack.... I only have highspeed... :(

i knew i'd end up with an alt problem eventually when i dropped the SVT in, but of course it showed up at the track. Every time i got around 6000 rpms the damn battery light flashed. It was my shift light the whole time i dragged.
