This had to be one of the coolest expeiriences of my life, and was the ultamate capper to the best Cougarfest ever. Late saturday about 9pm, 20 plus cougars from cf turned on the glow, and raced off into the night in beautiful train of kitties. We headed north on I-465, stopping on the side momentarely to regroup than we were off again. We cruised to the end of I-69, where we slid into the parking lot of a local print shop, and parked the girls for a break. Dispite chilly temps, and many full bladders, we planned the next move. While waiting for the next move, two Indy police officers(note, I did not say piggies, popo, or coppers) arrived. Upon arrival they were asked if they would stop traffic, so that we may pull out of the parking lot and re-enter the highway, in a beautiful syncronised fashion. And to my giddy suprise, the announced "Line 'em up!". They croud burst into cheers, hoot and hollars. And so we did. The beautiful song of all dem duratechs, and a Zetech firing up made me cream. On the way home we were stopped by constuction momentarely, but we pressed on. I do have to reapeat, that this was one of the coolest things I've ever been a part of. To the 20+ cars and there drivers, thank you for making my year. And whoever has film of this, please post or make a CF2k4 video. That is my only request.

wish i could have made that, but i was busy installing my GMK CF CAI. i think ohio neco had the biggest caravan though with about 40 cougars, a maxima, a focus, and an expedition lol.

Dang, if I would have seen 40 cougars cruising by, I think I wouldn't be able to stand up for a week.

Don't forget the fireworks!! After the police escort out of the parking lot, There was a fireworks show at the side of the highway!! I Wish someone was standing on the side of the road facing the fireworks video taping as we cruised by!

Seriously, never thought I'd get to fly through a red light, neons all on, and wave at the officer and I scream by. That was awesome!

Hah. Big props to the Indy PD for that one. Did you get their names and badge numbers so we can send them a thank you card? ;)

i was in ricks car (35thanvowner) at the construction site, he lines up right next to a cop. revs his engine and peels off leaving the rest of the pack behind. I AM UTTERLY AMAZED THAT THE COP DIDN"T GO AFTER HIM AND PULL HIM OVER. if it were new york his car would have been impounded

With all that the Indy PD put up with over CF, I don't think it'd be out of line to send a well written thank you letter, along with a few shirts. Most PD's don't get very many thank you letters, so this might be a welcome change for them, and show how much we appreciate their willingness to help.

it was funny when the cop said they got reports of 30 or so cars going really slow and one car speeding around them, lol
i'm just glad i didn't get a ticket after he asked who had the fastest car(like a dumbass i raised my hand and then everyone pointed at me:() i would have gladly taken it in the name of cougarfest2k4, lol.

That's actually a really, really good idea. Was it state trooper, sherrif, or local PD? I don't think we were in Indy proper, I remember the cop cars saying something else on the side when I saw them around..

It was a County sheriff.
The car speeding by might have been us in RiverRojo's  that was awesome flying by all those cougars!
You have to remember tho this is Indy. It's a racing town.
about 10 years ago, some friends I know were testing out a F1 car at 3am on 465. The police met up with them when they were loading the car back up. Close to 200mph on 465 and the police told them not to do it again and left it at that.
However that does not go to say to try and push the cops buttons around there.
