Well, I can't stand the wait any more. I want to get my store room emptied before summer's end - my wife is pissed because I've kept it full of Cougar parts for almost a year now. So I have only one choice left - vacation. I got my leave approved for August, so I'll have a whole month to put all the parts and accessories onto my Cougar, including the turbo project. I know there are some of you who have been wanting to see this thing get finished, and now - in about a week - the end beginning of the end will... well, begin.
Thanks to everyone who has helped me out so far, and I'll keep you all up to date on the latest happenings with postings here and on my web site.

sweet, I can't wait...
you must have a pretty penny saved up to live without income for a whole month and throw parts on the coug (you know you will end up buying extra things)
good luck anyway!

Bout time, nice to see you're finally taking the plunge. But then I know how hard it is to do something like this. I'm starting to loose that special feeling of having the only Zetec on the boards with a turbo. Afterhours has one, now Spe is looking to get one, and you're about to start yours. :(
My uniqueness is fading fast.....;)

Yes HKSCougar...........it's good to see you're about to get your turbo install rolling........ It's very apparent to me that you've done a great job with developing a solid plan and have accumulated all the components you'll need. Now it's time to get your hands dirty.......... I did the same thing when I finally did my install...........I took a week off from work, then spent all my time in the garage until it was done.
During your install, I'm sure you'll run into unforeseen problems that you'll eventually overcome, but that just adds to the sense of accomplishment you'll get from building it yourself.
Seawulf, as for being unique, your turbo set-up will always be unique.............as will all of our set-ups. Being that we're all running custom built turbos, each one will be a little bit different because of the different ways we each chose to address the same install related issues. This goes for the basic design of the system, engine management and the type of parts we decided to use.

Well, I'm off today to finish all the suspension and brake mods prior to the turbo install and remove the stereo system, too. That'll get redone soon, too, but the box I have in there rihgt now is really, really heavy and sits right where the rear STB goes. Oh, well. At least I finally found a place to buy fiberglassing supplies. Time to learn yet another skill...
Anyways, I should be able to post the updates to the suspension and brake parts of my web site tomorrow afternoon. And maybe a little more on the turbo section - specifically, shopping lists and planning stuff.
