Trying to form an Arizona NECO

Hey, I hear a lot of rumbling about people wanting to for an official Arizona NECO. Anyone interested in forming this group please leave your email address and city here and I will send this to an Administrator and see if we can form our own NECO. No offense, SoCal, but it would be better if we had our own group b'cuz all of your meets are somewhere in SoCal, and its too far for many of us to drive. Once again, if you want our own NECO group, just post here. Thanx.

I think after last nites meet, we are ready to do some forming, lets not forget about getting togther and doing some mods, you boys need to catch them kitties up, as for now in my future i will start passing down parts i don`t need, bobby that could be good for you, what part of the car is your damage as i start to replace my body i might have something you need!

I PM'd JScullin last night and informed him of our plans. I told him we are thinking of having byrdman and jizzo as our mods. Here is his response.

"You can have byrdman be the sole mod for now. I would suggest someone at the opposite end of the state from him so there is a chance to organize events better. I don't know how large AZ is, but as an example Mass/Conn NECO has a mod that lives in Mass and one that lives in Conn because of the large area we cover.

I'll set this up asap. Hopefully sometime tomorrow as today I'm real busy."

So it sounds like we have approval!! We need to get in contact to decide on a logo and maybe set up a website on geocities or a similar site. What is everyone doing this weekend?

Good job Bobby, talk to John Scullin, heyt if you get ahold of him, because he hasn`t responded to my emails, ask him if he will allow me to sign on using my original name "phoenix cougar"!


Lets think of a new name , here are some ideas:

desert neco
cactus neco
120 degree neco
Triple digit Neco <play on the weather"
Dry heat neco

These are just some ideas, some good some bad,
I will try to et some of the other guys to particapte on this forum!

I like desert neco, but the only problem is if we get members from up north, like around Flagstaff or Show Low. They arent in the desert. Only part of AZ is in the desert, so "desert neco" wouldnt accuratly describe the area we cover. The same goes for "cactus neco."

How does "High Heat NECO" sound?

What are you guys planning on doing Friday night? I have the night off, so maybe we could meet at Firebird or something.

Hey Mike, what are you doing tomorrow afternoon? Would you want to do my IMRC tomorrow? I get off work at 1, so call me after that if you wanna help me fix it. I need to get it fixed so I can keep beating the riceburners on Bell Rd. I lost to a 97-01 Civic because my secondaries wouldnt open. I don`t care for "high heat" sounds like are loser diamondbacks nick for a pitcher we don`t have anymore, that is my take, hahaha!

Also proofread your siggy, got a couple of mis=spelleds there!

Also i have been thinking about the logo idea, i would rather see one smaller , as in it could be attached to the back side windows, rather than across h whole front windshield, i really don`t want to have that much clutter there, can we try som logos with small print under it or something!

Ok , how about this :

Grand Canyon Neco

Basically it doesn`t have to be Arizona Neco or Anything indiginous of one particular area , it needs to represent ARIZONA , so when you here it , people say "ohhh thats gotta be arizona`s new chapter!!" Basically it could be anything, it could be "valley of the sun" , Cactus, Suarho <spelled wrong i know>, Tumbleweed Neco, anything that says what arizona is known for , not just Phoenix or Tucson or Flaggstaff, or Payson etc.....

Examples of wrong ideas would include the following, as they describe Arizona in no hspae or fashion:

Jo's Chicken Hut Neco
7th st Neco
Discount Larrys Cactus Emporium Neco

I really like Grand Canyon NECO. We are after all the "Grand Canyon State." I like it.

As far as the logo goes, I was thinking of having 1 main logo, and 1 windshield sticker. The smaller one can go on the side. I would really like to include a web address in one of the stickers. This way, other Cougar owners who dont frequent FastCougar, NewCougar, or CougarDB to see how to get in touch with us and join up. Maybe that could be our windsheild sticker, just the website address? Ex. "www.az_neco.com." Does anyone know anyone that does web hosting?
