I was just wondering if anyone has some 0-60 times for their cougar. I am running a 2002 V6 Mtx and got a time of 7.46 with a horible launch. Only mod to date is my exhaust

60 foot times? or 0-60 mph? if your doin 0-60 mph in 7.46 theres something your not telling us you have. mine are like 10s, almost stock. my 60 foot times are like 2. something....

automatic basspyder?
Autos do it in about 9 - 10seconds.

but i know that 7.5~ seconds is normal for a stock MTX cougar... maybe if you've got audio, rims, etc... that would slow ya down

10 seconds? thats rediculous slow! wow. i'm pretty sure mine is at least 6 or 7. i've never felt it was slower then that. yes i have an MTX.

0 - 60mph should be around 7.4 according to Motor Trend, and that cougar was loaded... so your talking a 3200 pound Cougar. I think that a lighter Cougar (one that is not loaded with extras) is no doubt faster than that.

I am talking mtx of course... I think the atx's are prolly around 8.5-9 seconds.

motor trends numbers to me IMO are usually pretty off. those guys numbers are probobly more accurate with rear drive cars. although there numbers probobly arent terribly off with the 0-60 time. just like super street called the new cobra a mid to high 13 sec car. what a joke! they just don't know how to drive it LOL!!!!

That sounds about right... G-techs tend to be optimistic, so you could probably do much better with a good launch.

those g-tech's are optimistic. A couple months ago I did a 0-60mph run in 40 degree weather, and it said 7.8, oh yea I'm an ATX, although it is heavily modded, so who knows.

According to G-tech, when I run at the track it's 4.2. I've cut a 4.0 on it once with my 60' being a 1.7ish. I haven't cut that again though :(

Gtech is off up to .2 + or - so I am assuming 4.5 or 4.6 in reality on my car due to the mid stall and gears :)

a track will not tell you your 0-60 mph time...only 60" time. However, a g-tech is prolly the best way to tell.
