Are there any pics of this. I would like to make custom install in the driver door. Is this even possible?

There is a Cougar floating around that has moved it to the center console. Honestly I think moving it to the door is pointless and would be ugly, but thats just my opinion. Anything is possible.

yes it is possible you can even put it in the trunk. just need to splice wires longer and REPLACE all the vacuum lines.

I haven't been able to look behind there yet. The vacum lines are connected to knobs? If thats so, then I wouldn't be able to move them to the door. Maybe I should stick with the ash tray, or center console. If can get them to the door though I think I could make some sort of cool face plate for them, even make them kick at an angle toward the driver. I feel that the door needs to be utilized more, there's space in the upper area to put an array of cool isht.

no offense but putting it in the door is a terriable place to put it. It would look way out of place. It would look cool in the overhead counsle though..

Yeah I agree, it would be kinda sweet to have them in the over head with some sorta fiberglassed project.

and you have to remember with the doors, that it is very, very hard to get even 2 wires for another speaker to run through the door jam, let alone vaccum lines and a lot of wires and connectors...

Not sure how you're doing it... but I've got an additional 5 14ga wires running in both my doors, with no problem.
Maybe it's a stupid queation, but what's a HVAC?

those look good
i also think guages molded into the door at a slight angle like a tweeter would be bad ass...

I know this is an old post, but I just came across it. How the hell do you do that, because I never use my center console for anything, and am looking for a way to do gauges. Does someone make a kit do do that, or would it all be custom fabrication?
I am thinking of a combination of 2 gauges on the A-pillar and 2 gauges in the dash would be good. I want a total of 4 gauges (water temp, oil temp, oil pressure, and voltmeter). I could leave a spot open for boost, but a turbo would be a LONG way off in my plans, and Im not sure I could stand a hole in my dash.
